Creation and Criticism is committed to upholding rigorous standards of academic integrity and originality across all publications. Furthermore, the journal does not admit papers generated by artificial intelligence. Stringent measures are implemented during the paper selection process; however, in the event of any discrepancies, the journal reserves the right to withhold publication. Consequently, a strict anti-plagiarism policy is enforced, and authors are expected to adhere to the following guidelines.
Content Originality: All articles submitted to Creation and Criticism must be original and must not have been previously published in any form. Any previously published or contributed content must be properly cited and referenced in the submitted article.
Appropriate Citation: All sources used in the paper, including both primary and secondary sources, must be accurately cited within the text and in the reference list. The publication follows the Modern Language Association (MLA) citation and referencing guidelines.
Plagiarism Check: All articles submitted to Creation and Criticism will be checked using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. The software compares the submitted article against a comprehensive database of academic and non-academic sources to identify instances of plagiarism.
Appropriate Level of Similarity: The acceptable similarity threshold for articles submitted to Creation and Criticism is 10% or less. Articles with similarity between 10% and 15% will undergo editorial review to determine if the similarities are due to valid reasons, such as common knowledge, unintentional overlap, or potential plagiarism. Articles exceeding 15% similarity will be rejected, and the concerned author will be notified.
Consequences of Plagiarism: If plagiarism is detected in an article after publication, the article will be retracted, and the author will be barred from submitting future work to Creation and Criticism. Additionally, the journal may inform the author's affiliated institution and pursue legal action if necessary.
Creation and Criticism treats plagiarism as a serious violation of academic ethics and expects all authors to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity. By submitting an article to the journal, authors acknowledge that they have read and agreed to the journal’s plagiarism policy, including the use of Turnitin for plagiarism detection.
